Who We Are

Westside Together is a community driven effort strengthening the West Side of Charleston. We were established in 2023 to bring residents, partners, and organizations together around shared goals. We connect people, share information, and support the work already happening.

Do You Provide Financial Assistance?

Westside Together does not provide direct financial assistance for rent, utilities, or emergency bills.

We support West Side nonprofits, programs, and community groups through our funding request system for projects that benefit residents. We also help residents connect to trusted emergency assistance partners.

What Are Westside Together’s Focus Areas?

Our work is shaped by what West Side residents said matters most. We focus on:

• Homeownership and Repair
• Family Support and Resources
• Resident Engagement
• Small Business Support
• Disaster Preparedness

These areas guide our programs, partnerships, and long-term strategy.

What Is the Collaborative?

The Collaborative is a group of residents, nonprofits, community partners, and local leaders working together for the West Side. It is not formal membership. It is a community table open to anyone who cares about the West Side.

What Does the Collaborative Do?

The Collaborative brings partners together to share updates, coordinate efforts, and stay aligned. It is a space for communication, problem solving, and connection.

Collaborative members meet to:

The Collaborative supports the community’s focus areas. It does not set them.

How Does Westside Together Support the Collaborative?

Westside Together helps keep the Collaborative organized and connected. We support communication, coordination, and alignment across partners. We make sure resident voices guide the work and that information flows clearly between groups. We help maintain consistency, follow up on shared priorities, and support partners as they work within the community’s focus areas.
