Our Work
Implementation Teams give Westside Collaborative partners a way to organize and act on priorities set by the broader Collaborative—focusing on areas like housing, family support, and more.
These teams coordinate and leverage their time, knowledge, and relationships to strengthen community resources and work together to decide how resources are used and which projects move forward.
Members who want to turn plans into action are encouraged to join a team and actively drive progress toward shared goals.
Home Ownership & Repair Team
The Home Ownership and Repair Implementation Team manages initiatives to improve housing on the West Side including access to healthy and safer homes, sustainable home ownership, home financing, and residential rental options.
Family Support Team
A new team we are building, Family Support, targets issues that affect healthy families including child development, senior services, food access, transportation, and safety.
Small Business Support Team
Partners work together to support existing small and micro businesses that operate on the West Side, foster entrepreneurship and West Side investment, and connect resources for thriving businesses that make the neighborhood better.
Resident Engagement Team
This growing team collaborates to improve West Side residents’ engagement with other West Siders and organizations, to support events that bring neighbors together, and to manage communications and outreach efforts of Westside Collaborative partners.
Disaster Planning & Response Team
This team was formed to coordinate and organize resources in the community so those in need can easily access support when in crisis. This team has put together a resource map, plan, funds and volunteers to support those in our community when facing disaster.
Best of the West Award Team
A team that selects, every season, the “Best of the West”, which is an unsung hero of our community. This is a person that gives their energy to the West Side to make it the best side!
